Objectives:
At the end of this educational event, students will be able to identify, define and implement the five steps of the Wound Prevention and Management Cycle, from the perspective of a primary care provider, for a person with or at risk for a wound, including:
- Completing the components of a comprehensive patient assessment
- Creating agreed-upon goals of care
- Assembling an integrated wound team
- Implementing an individual-specific plan of care
- Interpreting if individual goals have been met, and reassessing as required
