This chapter tackles the promotion of skin health and the management of arterial ulcers, primarily of the lower limb, using the Wound Prevention and Management Cycle. Risk factors and the relationship between peripheral arterial ulcers and chronic illnesses such as diabetes mellitus are highlighted and explained. The chapter emphasizes the need for an integrated team because of the high mortality rates associated with this condition.
